Maker Verified does not individually inspect or authenticate every artwork, product, edition or collection.

Certification does not guarantee artistic quality, originality, ownership, legality, condition, safety or market value.

Maker Verified does not determine copyright ownership or freedom from infringement.

Transaction Approval

Certification does not approve a particular sale, transaction, commission or representation.

A private certification program

Maker Verified is not a government agency, accreditation body, professional licensing authority, authentication service, appraisal service, copyright office, product-safety laboratory, insurance provider or purchaser reimbursement program.

Reasonable review, not continuous observation

Certification is based on an applicant’s signed representations, application, verification interview, submitted information and reasonable review procedures. Maker Verified does not observe every creative act, forensically test every file, inspect every individual work or guarantee that an applicant has not concealed information or later changed their process.

Current status controls

Certification status should be verified through the current Maker Verified Registry. Expired, suspended, revoked, copied or altered certification materials are not valid.
