Maker Verified certifies an approved artist’s disclosed creative process and working practices. It does not separately inspect, authenticate or certify every individual work.
Certification applies only to the approved artist, professional name and creative process reviewed by Maker Verified. It may not be transferred to another person, company, brand, studio or creative practice.

Maker Verified reviewed the application, signed Human Authorship Declaration, verification interview and any supporting information requested during review.
The decision is based on the artist’s disclosed creative process, working practices and the record available during review.
Certification means the approved creative process met the published standard as of the certification date.
Certification remains subject to continuing compliance, disclosure of material changes and the current status shown in the public registry.
Maker Verified confirms a specific certification claim. It does not replace authentication, appraisal, legal review, product testing or ordinary purchasing judgment.
Maker Verified does not individually inspect or authenticate every artwork, product, edition or collection.
Certification does not guarantee artistic quality, originality, ownership, legality, condition, safety or market value.
Maker Verified does not determine copyright ownership or freedom from infringement.
Certification does not approve a particular sale, transaction, commission or representation.
Certification does not guarantee that information was never concealed or that the artist’s process will never change.
Maker Verified certification is not government approval, accreditation or professional licensure.
Maker Verified is a privately administered certification program for artists whose approved creative processes are based on meaningful human authorship and truthful disclosure of their working practices.
Maker Verified is not a government agency, accreditation body, professional licensing authority, authentication service, appraisal service, copyright office, product-safety laboratory, insurance provider or purchaser reimbursement program.
Certification is based on an applicant’s signed representations, application, verification interview, submitted information and reasonable review procedures. Maker Verified does not observe every creative act, forensically test every file, inspect every individual work or guarantee that an applicant has not concealed information or later changed their process.
Certification status should be verified through the current Maker Verified Registry. Expired, suspended, revoked, copied or altered certification materials are not valid.
Maker Verified was founded by the creators of Time of Design and is affiliated with it through common ownership or management. Maker Verified is administered as a separate certification program and accepts qualifying applicants whether or not they participate in Time of Design.
Certification may not be described as guaranteed to be 100 percent AI-free in every circumstance.
Certification may not be described as government certified, federally approved or USPTO approved.
Certification may not be described as certification or authentication of every individual product or artwork.
Certification may not be described as copyright verification or proof of legal ownership.
Certification may not be described as proof that an artist works entirely alone or without ordinary tools, software, assistants or disclosed outside services.
Certification may not be described as fraud-proof, AI-proof or impossible to counterfeit.
A badge image, certificate, social-media post or third-party listing may be outdated, copied or altered. Current certification should be confirmed through the official Maker Verified Registry.
