Together, these documents explain the standard, the statements each applicant makes and the rules that apply when certification is approved.

Maker Verified Standard
Explains who may apply, what a human-led creative practice means, how generative AI and outside production are treated, and what certification does and does not cover.

Human Authorship Declaration
The statement each applicant signs confirming that the application is accurate and that the defining ideas, imagery, writing and other creative content in the practice are human-authored.

Certification Agreement
Sets the terms for application review, certification scope, account access, use of certification materials, certification status and the relationship between the certified creator and Maker Verified.

Mark Usage Guidelines

Maker Verified may update these documents as the program and technology change. Applicants and certified creators should rely on the versions currently published here, along with any written terms included in an individual certification decision.
Applicants sign the Human Authorship Declaration and accept the Certification Agreement during the application. Reading or downloading a document does not create certification or authorize use of the Maker Verified Mark.
